Most of the cat portraits you see below are in our gallery, so you can read more about each of the cat commissions and view the reference photos we worked from. We thought we would gather just a few of our lovely pet art testimonials together for you to read.
Some of the pet portraits emails and letters we receive are so personal, we often don't repeat them in full. Our customers send their heartfelt thanks to us in their letters and emails, as they express the happiness their pet portraits have given them, especially if their cat has passed away. They often tell us how it almost feels as though their cat is back with them again which can really help the grieving process. It can bring back many wonderful memories for all the family.

Dear Melanie and Nick
It was a great pleasure to be able to speak to you and thank you in person for the wonderful portrait you created of our two 'boys', Barney and Zorro. I've attached a couple of photos of me standing beside the picture which now hangs on the wall in our home in France.
Seeing the portrait of Barney and Zorro, our two much beloved Norwegian Forest cats, which my husband arranged as a surprise present for my 60th birthday, had me in tears of joy. It's a fabulous likeness created with such sensitivity that everyone who sees it marvels at the skill used to produce it.
I know from my husband that you took immense care to ensure everything was just perfect right down to the packing of the finished painting ready for its journey to France where it now resides. It's so wonderful that the landmark birthday I was not all that keen on experiencing turned out to be a fabulous day! Thank you both so much for everything. | Good morning Melanie,
Thanks so much for arranging with Jane the framing so quickly. That's marvellous to get it to my Father on Wednesday, rather than Friday (he was already panicking what to do if it did not arrive on Friday, what time you were sending it etc). Now he can relax and will be able to receive it in good time, before he leaves early Saturday morning. So thank you both so much for all your efforts and do thank Jane for me too please.
As for the framed portrait, I agree I think it looks terrific and having seen it displayed on your site Ros and I will feel very proud that our cats have been given such prominence. I love it and I have no doubt Ros will too. I intend to give it to Ros on her birthday to mark her milestone.
So for now, again thank you and Nick so much for all your kindnesses and hard work to make this happen. It has been an absolute pleasure always speaking and communicating with you.

I just happened to check the blog and saw the first stages of Soda's portrait! The wait is worth it for the excitement you get from seeing your own portrait worked on. I find it very interesting to watch the process of the painting, how things are built up and changed, and the fact that it is my own cat is a bonus :) I have not been able to stop smiling since seeing the pictures and am excited to see even more as Nick progresses!

The portrait looks stunning, again I cannot stop smiling! It is amazing the amount of detail Nick was able to capture. Looking at the close up picture on the blog it seems as if he painted every single hair and she is quite a hairy lady so I'm sure that was a huge task to undertake! He captured her personality and likeness perfectly. When I receive the painting I will be sure to take a picture of her sitting next to it, and I would be willing to bet it will look like a mirror image since that is her usual sitting pose! Please tell Nick he did an awesome job and I cannot thank him enough!

Just mailing you to say the portrait arrived today in perfect shape. It looks so lovely in real life, very soft and a perfect representation of Soda. I am so sorry it has taken this long for me to get back to you! Some crazy days at work coupled with cloudy days providing no good natural light have kept me from getting a picture of Soda with the portrait until now. I have attached a photo of her next to the portrait and while she isn't in the exact same pose like I promised it is pretty close :) She is rather camera shy these days, I think because I have taken so many pictures of her, so it was hard to get her to sit still.
I am glad it wasn't just me who was surprised at how quickly the portrait got here. It was a pleasant surprise as I wasn't expecting it so soon! Just want to thank you guys again. The portrait is so beautiful and will make me smile for years to come.

Rikki's portrait is absolutely gorgeous! I want to thank you and Nick for the wonderful job. It was so nice getting to know you and Nick and hearing about Tom, all the animals and your little spot of paradise. :)
I can't wait to have Rikki's portrait framed and hung for everyone to see. He will of course be the first one to see it and I'm overjoyed he is still with us to do so. I hope that I will have more pets in the future and be able to work with you again. For now I will pass your info along to anyone looking for a perfect pet portrait! If you would like a picture of the portrait after it's framed and placed on the wall, I will gladly send one.

Hope you had a good weekend! I received Rikki's portrait in the mail Friday afternoon. It's as beautiful as the pictures! It went immediately to the frame shop and hopefully will be back home and hung in a week or two, just in time for Rikki's 21st birthday! I will try to get some good pictures of it sent to you after it's hung. :)

Rikki's portrait came back from the framers and we all LOVE the final outcome! Even the framer asked who the artist was and said she had never seen such a beautiful pastel portrait before. I passed along your info to her. :) Rikki did not want to pose for a picture ( he was really tired) so I sent you the best we could get.

Helen drove all the way from Southampton to Wales and back again in one day to come and visit us to collect the paintings of Eboni and Smoki.
We had not had Tom for very long at this time and so we were getting use to him, as he was getting use to being with us. As you can see from the photos he was very much part of the meeting! Lucky Helen liked dogs : )
We are thrilled when clients come to see us and we always welcome them with open arms. |

Although I should have waited for Christmas, I had to unwrap it and take a look and John and I are absolutely thrilled with it – it looks even better ‘in the flesh’ than the scan on the PC. We feel that you have really captured ‘our boys’, Nick, and once we get it framed and hung it will be something which will delight us for years!

Well the picture is now on the wall. I let the kitties have a look at it before it went up...... The room isn't finished yet and the big high ceilings and lowish backed couch make it hard to envisage, but it does look great. Well it will do when there isn't rubbish lying about the room. Melanie and Nick,
It was with some trepidation that I opened the 2 portraits that you kindly created for me. As they were for Karen’s 50th birthday, coming so soon after his sad loss, and with him being so special over the last 16 years it was important that they were a true representation of Tom. When I saw them I realized that everything would be OK, it was definitely Tom looking back at me. Karen’s birthday was yesterday, and she was overwhelmed by the surprise, there were a few tears over the course of the day (a good sign).
We will keep the portraits unframed for a little while whilst we decide on the locations and then pick frames accordingly. These portraits will give us a lifetime of pleasure, and I can’t thank you enough for the service you have provided to us.
Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to Nick.

Wow! We received the portrait of our Lizzie and am absolutely speechless. It's so beautiful! Her colours of are perfect and the detail is staggering! The reflections in her eyes are lovely and the whole composition is wonderful.
